Website & User Interface
The iemojis website, including its design, layout, typography, colour system, component architecture, and all custom-written code, is copyright © iemojis. All rights reserved.
You may not reproduce, redistribute, republish, or create derivative works based on the iemojis UI, design system, or codebase without prior written permission. Limited screenshot and review use for editorial or journalistic purposes is permitted with appropriate attribution.
Emoji Data & Characters
Emoji characters are defined by the Unicode Consortium and are part of the Unicode Standard. The Unicode Standard itself is available under the Unicode Licence.
iemojis uses emoji annotation data derived from open-source datasets including the CLDR (Common Locale Data Repository) and emoji-datasource. These datasets are used under their respective open-source licences. See the third-party notices below for details.
The visual appearance of emoji (their rendering as colourful glyphs) is platform-specific and is the intellectual property of the respective platform vendors (Apple, Google, Microsoft, etc.). iemojis does not distribute vendor-specific emoji artwork.
Third-Party Open-Source Notices
iemojis is built with the following open-source projects (non-exhaustive list):
- Next.js — MIT Licence — nextjs.org
- React — MIT Licence — react.dev
- emoji-datasource — MIT Licence — github.com/iamcal/emoji-data
- cldr-annotations-modern — Unicode Licence — cldr.unicode.org
- GSAP — Standard GreenSock Licence — gsap.com
Full licence texts for these dependencies are available in their respective repositories.
Permitted Use of Content
You are permitted to use individual emoji characters copied from iemojis for personal and commercial communication, content creation, social media posts, and other ordinary uses — emoji characters themselves are not owned by iemojis.
You are not permitted to use the iemojis name, logo, brand identity, or UI screenshots as your own or in a way that implies endorsement without written permission.
When you write tutorials that mention iemojis, a simple text link to https://www.iemojis.com is appreciated. Deep-linking to individual emoji detail pages (for example from documentation) is encouraged because it helps readers verify the exact glyph they should paste.
Trademarks & Branding
iemojis, associated logos, and the visual layout of this website are trademarks or trade dress of the site operator. Third-party names (Apple, Google, Unicode, etc.) may appear in descriptive text to explain compatibility; those marks belong to their respective owners, and iemojis is not sponsored or endorsed by them unless explicitly stated.
Do not use iemojis branding assets as app icons, favicons for unrelated products, or social avatars without written permission, even if your use is non-commercial.
